Horse Racing Tips UK IRELANDWarwick Racecourse is a horse racing course in Warwick, England. It is a leading flat racing and steeple chasing course, and has a program of 25 meetings throughout the year, many of which are televised.

The first stand was built in 1808, it has recently undergone a major refurbishment of its facilities. In the middle of the racecourse is a nine hole golf course and a golf driving range. The area is a popular place for local people to walk their dogs. There is ample parking next to the course and it is only a five minute walk away from the town centre.

Notable Races Leamington Novices' Hurdle
The Leamington Novices' Hurdle is a Grade 2 National Hunt hurdle race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above novices. It is run over a distance of 2 miles 5 furlongs (4,225 metres) at Warwick Racecourse in January. There are eleven hurdles to be jumped in the race. It was first run in 2002.

Kingmaker Novices' Chase
The Kingmaker Novices' Chase is a Grade 2 National Hunt chase in the United Kingdom for five-year-old and above novices. It is run over a distance of 2 miles 110 yards (3,319 metres) at Warwick Racecourse in February. There are twelve fences to be jumped in the race. The race was abandoned at Warwick in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and transferred on each occasion to Wincanton Racecourse. When run at Wincanton, the race distance is 2 miles (3,219 metres) and thirteen fences are jumped. IIt was first run in 1991 in early May over a distance of 2 miles 4 furlongs 110 yards (4,124), From 1996 it was run in early May over a distance of 2 miles and from 2000 over the current distance of 2 miles 110 yards. The race title comes from the nickname of Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick, who was known as "Warwick the Kingmaker" during the Wars of the Roses.  

Course Details Flat Course:
Left-handed, sharp, about 1m6f. Dog-leg 5f and 5.5f course.

Effect Of Draw:
When the going is very soft, high numbers are favoured.

National Hunt Course:
Left-handed, with tight turns and short run-in. Circuit 1m5f.
